Our Santa sessions have become increasingly popular over the past few years in Knoxville. This past year, we shot a record number of sessions with three different sets! We offered three dates of express sessions and one date of our well known “Santa Experience” sessions.
The most popular age for Santa Sessions is elementary school range. Sometimes clients will bring infants and toddlers, and that’s ok, too! Just know that some toddlers may be in the “stranger danger” stage so the experience may be quite frightening for them. We usually ask parents to also dress to be in the photo shoot in case we need them to sit and hold their child. Sometimes, just having mom or dad close by calms them enough that they are willing to still participate.
Our Santa Express sessions are a quick, “in and out” session that lasts about ten minutes. Simple set, minimal props– just come in and talk to Santa a few minutes and snap some pictures while you’re at it! This has proven to be a popular choice for many of our families.
We are well known for our “Santa Experience” sessions. This storybook set is beautifully ornate with lots of bells and whistles! We have many signature poses that we make sure to incorporate: reading with Santa, looking in Santa’s bag, eating cookies with Santa, checking the nice list, painting nutcrackers, Santa’s magic, etc. These images are specially edited to give them a more storybook, animated look. These distinguished portraits are stunning and classic and will always be treasured by families for years to come! And we promise, your friends will notice them, too!
We booked our Santa sessions in July– “Christmas in July”. Most of these sessions were shot in October. Since we work with the best Santa around, we are limited to times that he has availability, and over the past few years, we have settled on a weekend in mid October that he has reserved on a yearly basis for our studio! This year, we were able to offer a handful of the express sessions in November by popular demand as an add on to our original Santa schedule.

We will plan to likely book our Santa sessions in July again this year. It feels too early to have Christmas on the radar, but there is a lot of planning that goes into our sessions.
