Here at Southern Charm Portraits, our most VIP clients are the littlest ones! We love nothing more than welcoming a newborn baby into our studio for first portraits. Well, actually we love Christmas newborn photography the best! We have had a ball this season wrapping up all these adorable newborns and adding a little extra Christmas cheer.
Baby’s 1st Portraits and Baby’s 1st Christmas are both so special so being able to combine them into one session is the ultimate treat! We usually photograph our newborn sessions in the first ten days of life. We often preschedule newborn sessions based on due date. Then if baby comes earlier or later than expected, we can adjust the session time.
We ask parents to feed baby well right before arriving for their newborn session. We have our studio environment optimally prepared upon their arrival so that we can get started right away. Our cozy, calm setting combined with our years of newborn posing experience makes for a pleasant session. Most families are surprised by how easy and enjoyable their newborn session was and leave feeling so excited about the results.
We usually start with our beanbag poses and capture baby squished and naked. Then we will move to wrapped poses in baskets and other props. Then we finish off the session with any family poses, if desired. We usually do a group pose, mom pose, dad pose, and sibling pose. The family poses are included- no additional costs.
Our Christmas newborn photography always brings extra cheer each year to us and our followers. We are working a lot by the end of the year, and we enjoy having the opportunities to be a bit extra and creative than our regular newborn posing.
