So you have had your newborn session– what’s next? We have a pay-as-you-go baby plan add on option that allows families to capture other important first year milestones. Babies grow and change so rapidly during the first year, and we are equipped to help you capture each milestone along the way. We often see babies back for 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year portraits.
At around 6 months old is one of our most favorite milestones to photograph! Baby is often sitting up (or close to it) and has lots of new expressions to share. We have a lot of different props to use and can offer baby some extra support for sitting, if needed. We might get a sitting pose, sitting in props poses, lying on tummy pose, and lying on back pose. There are lots of posing options at this age. Your sitter may even roll over or try to scoot around. We have found that two neutral or pastel colored outfits is a good number to try for or even some “birthday suit” shots are cute, too. Avoid big logos/graphics or brightly colored/patterned clothing. Our 30 minute session is perfect for keeping a baby happy, and we can work fast! Plan to bring a well fed and rested baby to yield the best photos. We always try to work in clients when they contact us, but if you can schedule in advance that will give us more flexibility with scheduling you!
