Scheduling your maternity session is the first step to begin capturing all the wonderful memories that a new child brings to your family! While most of the maternity sessions we do are shot outside, we can always do in studio, too. Through the years, we have found that the sweet spot for doing maternity sessions falls between the 26-36 weeks of pregnancy. We encourage mothers not to wait too late because we want you to still be feeling good, not be too swollen, or miss it altogether if baby comes early.
We are happy to include your spouse and children into the session. There’s nothing sweeter than everyone’s hands on mama’s bump! We will pose you in a way that is flattering and subtly celebrates your pregnancy. You are welcome to bring any special items you would like to include. Examples are: ultrasound photos, onesies, baby booties, etc. We will make sure to get some posed portraits but will also try to capture some sweet moments with your family. We will also capture the whole group, mom & dad only, mom & children only, and a few of mom only- she’s the star of the show, after all!

If you haven’t already scheduled your newborn session by the time your maternity session has taken place, please reach out to get a date secured. We will schedule your newborn session based on your due date, but will be flexible about changing it if baby arrives earlier or later than expected.
