There are lots of things to consider when choosing a newborn photographer! First, it’s important to check out the photographer’s portfolio and reviews. Make sure your style lines up with the photographer’s style. Check the pricing information to make sure it is within your budget. Remember, you get what you pay for and your baby’s 1st portraits are an investment you do not want to go cheap on! Be sure to reach out to the photographer in advance to talk about scheduling so you can make sure you get a spot when you want it! If you have any special shots you want, communicate that up front so the photographer can plan accordingly. I am always happy to try to reinvent a shot or use special props at my clients’ requests, but it does help to know in advance. We have our studio set up and prepared prior to your arrival so we can start promptly. All you have to do is feed baby well and show up! You can sit back and enjoy watching us gently pose and photograph your newest little family member.
