Is anyone tired of my pirate lingo yet? 🙂 Sadie and Gavin (the pride and Joy of the one and only Polkadaisies!) wrapped up my evening of pirate {mini sessions}. It was only fitting to capture them in the old bathtub that has turned pirate ship in its latter days. We have some old bathtub/Polkadaisies history you know! For those of you that have been following SCP for a while, you might remember our first SCP/Polkadaisies photo shoot. Sadie was the first one I ever photographed in the tub. When I was editing her pirate images, I realized just how much she (and Gavin) have grown since that first time we put her in that tub.
Anyhow, these two buckaroos are so familiar to my camera, I think I could photograph them with my eyes closed! Okay, maybe not! But, I do love photographing them. And, they could always win the hypothetical “best dressed” award, too. 🙂 Becky made Gavin’s shirt and the bunting banner. That banner was the perfect touch to my pirate set!
(By the way- I am going to try to get this set out one more time to photograph my kids if anyone is interested in a pirate {mini} let me know asap! )
We hit the “golden hour” just right. I embraced the light and went with it. I love the summer sun feel of these. We don’t have many evenings like this left…
